I have been administering Aesthetic treatments in various clinics and medispas around the country for over 10 years. I have trained with some of the industry leading doctors and plastic surgeons. I have completed the V300 Nurse Prescriber qualification.
Botox
Botox is Allergan’s trade-name for the protein and neurotoxin Botolinum Toxin. The protein is used cosmetically as a muscle relaxing injection for the treatment of wrinkles.
Using a very fine insulin syringe a small amounts of Botulinum Toxin is injected into the target areas, I will take time to mark out the exact muscles before beginning with the injections. This blocks the impulse from the nerve to the facial muscles, reducing the contractions that cause wrinkles. Following the treatment the skin over the muscles looks smooth and even.
Straight after the procedure the treated areas will look slightly red and swollen. this will resolve shortly after the treatment or up to 24 hours. Results can be seen from three to 7 days, a review appointment is recommended at 10-14 days after treatment.

Hyperhydrosis
Hyperhydrosis is the condition characterised by abnormally increased sweating/perspiration, in excess of that required for regulation of body temperature. Hyperhydrosis can either be generalised or localised to specific parts of the body. Hands, feet, armpits, and the groin area are among the most active regions of perspiration due to the relatively high concentration of sweat glands.
Injections of Botox are used to block neural control of sweat glands. The effects can last from 3–9 months depending on the site of injections.

Sclerotherapy
A lot of women feel very self-conscious about their thread veins – to the extent that they wont go out in public in knee length shorts or skirts, and feel embarrassed about wearing swimming costumes.
Sclerotherapy is a treatment for spider veins.
I inject the unwanted veins with a sclerosing solution causing the target vein to immediately shrink, and then dissolve over a period of weeks as the body naturally absorbs the treated vein. Bruising is likely and can take time to fade so this treatment is preferably administered during the winter months.
